We are a Bolivian, American, Brazilian family living in the beautiful country of Bolivia. We love traveling and are happy to take off to the bush or to a new place at the drop of a hat. We´ve never met a place we didn't like. Placido is Bolivian - a "camba" from Santa Cruz - and I am the child of North American missionaries to Brazil. We are both medical doctors (Placido is a surgeon and urologist and I am a physician). Our call is to use our profession to touch people's physical needs and thus draw them to Christ. God has given us two beautiful children, José and Emily, who actively participate with us in our work.
The children are true and loyal "cambas" (natives of the department of Santa Cruz), altough they also love the States. José and Placido share a passion for fishing, Emily and Toni share a love for guitar and reading. As a family we are drawn to anything related to the Indigenous cultures. Books on indigenous lore and traditions are often in our book bags when we leave any given library.
